Media Encoder Won't Fully Quit

$

When I quit Media Encoder, it will close, but then it still shows up when I command+tab to switch applications. And when I go to force quit, it shows up there as well, but will never actually quit when I force quit it.

When I try to reopen Media Encoder by launching the app itself, it doesn't do anything. Then if I "queue" an export from Premiere, it will open Media Encoder but now when I command+tab, Media Encoder shows up twice.

Then if I try to quit again it will just keep doing the same thing. Then when I try to restart/shut down it will begin the process but always locks up and I have to manually force the computer to turn off by holding the power button

until it turns off.

I'm having this issue on my iMac and my MacBookPro. The iMac has been doing this for a month or two. I thought it would've been fixed in an update but my OS (I'm on Yosemite) is up to date, as well as all my Adobe apps.

My MacBookPro has just started doing this in the past couple of days.

Bad video quality after uploaded to youtube.

So...i record my videos with dxtory, then edit them with after effects and then export with media encoder on highest possible settings with h264 mp4.They look crystal clear on my computer but when uploaded on youtube they look terrible! on 480p it looks like 240p.I have tried different codecs and formats quicktime,DNxHD ect. but always same thing. i have also tried different bit rates but still the same thing...I have tried to turn my video to WebM format with vp9 codec but still the same thing...i have tried to fix this for months...

here's short clip of my edit

www.youtube.com/watch?v=VxGq2aSQxiI

If you stop it on 0:08 you can see the buildings on the back look so blurry.

here's another clip with no editing.it looks better but still really bad

www.youtube.com/watch?v=4bbw96PoEzo

i jsut don't get it...many people get much better quality with no issues!even if they render their videos on bad settings they still look better than mine.for example this video.it looks really really good even in 480p.and even if there's a lot of motion it doesn't get blurry

www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZIqicCSv5kY

Also i realized  that if you open the ''stats for nerds'' box on youtube.i see that youtube has encoded that video with WebM vp9 but if you look at my vide it't encoded with video/mp4; codecs="avc1.4d401f"

So..is there any way i can force youtube to encode it with vp9 codec? When i uploaded my video with vp9 codec on WebM format it still got encoded with video/mp4; codecs="avc1.4d401f"

Please help me.i really want to solve this and start making videos.

Media Encoder Stops Encoding with the New CS5.5

I just upgraded to CS5.5 a yesterday and having some issues encoding an 1 1/2 program for a DVD. The program doesn't seem to crash per se, just stops encoding. The task manager says it's running. I tried to encode the same sequence, but shorter and have the in and out points go through the part where it always stops and it worked fine. It's just when I try the entire sequence it stops. Anyone have any experience like this with CS5.5 just coming out?

Thank you,

Doug

I am working on a video that is encoded as ProRes 4444 in Premiere Pro and AE, when I finish I need to export the timeline in ProRes4444, but this seems to be missing from the list of codecs.

I do have Uncompressed 10bit 4 2 2.

Searched google and found a few sites that claim to sell this codec, but I don't want to part with money if it's not something I need.

Just to be clear, this is a Windows machine (win7)

Hello Everyone,

Is there any program in the Adobe Creative Suite (CS6) that will allow me to convert an MOV file to WEBM and OGG format? If not, can you recommend a free or inexpensive converter that I can download for the Mac, which will help me convert my .mov file.

Thank you in advance!

Black Screen from AE export to AME

Hi,

I have just started using AE CC and I was trying to output some videos but there was some bugs with the time using render queue but I had found the problem and fix it. But while solving this issue I found an odd problem with the Adobe Media Encoder CC. Everytime I click on export to Media Encoder it renders the video with no content just a black blank screen. The temp AE files it generates is fine no issues just the video file is blank. I tried a different animation that I had also created same problem. I got someone who knows AE and he tried using different codecs but its blank too. There is no problems with AE or the working file because I can render videos with no problems using the internal render queue, Its only media encoder having this odd issue.

I had tried updating Media Encoder to 7.01 even though its already 7.01 but still the same problem. How do I uninstall and reinstall? I have media encoder cs6 installed on my mac too. Will that cause any conflicts?

Currently I have these Adobe software installed - Adobe CS6 Design Premium (Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat Pro, Fireworks, Flash, Indesign, Dreamweaver - Full Liscene Version) and (Audition CS6, Edge Animate, Encore CS6, Premiere Pro CS6, Photoshop Light Room 5, After Effects CC - All Trial Versions).

I am using a Macbook Pro with Mountain Lion 10.8.5. All software up to date.

WMV export

I was wondering if there is a way to use Media Encoder to export files in WMV format using a Mac. It says here "Windows Media (WMV; Windows only)". Is there any possiblity to integrate a Mac - WMV converter like Flip4Mac into the Adobe Media Encoder.

I know that I can use Flip4Mac to export WMVs from QT Pro. But It would be nice to have one program where I can save all of my export presets for.

Adobe Media Encoder Fail - need help please

I keep getting a failed error when trying to use Adobe Media Encoder.

I open up my premiere project and select the comp I want.  I switch the format to Quicktime, select h.264 from preset.  Hit the start button and I get the failed sound/icon.

2 questions:

1. My comp is 1920x1080 but when I go in it automatically has it as 720... why is it not recognizing the comp size?

2. Is there a way to fix this error?  It seems to export occassionally to my C drive (which is not raid) but it fails to my F drive (Raid 10).  But usually if I export as a wmv or something smaller it exports fine to F.

I have logged into my Youtube account, selected the publish to that account, I've even made sure I'm logged in on  my browser if that makes a difference but I can't get an upload to go to Youtube.  I just get an error saying it's not accessible?

Has anyone else figured out a way to get this to work?

thanks,

I have an 10 seconds video done in After Effects CC 2015 with 300 x 600px and need to work as a Web Banner.

We need to supply it as HTML5 and the Media Guide needs it with maximum 40Kb.

I have read many tutorials but since FLV and SWF are not in After Effects or Adobe Media Encoder, I don't know how the process would be.

Please help us.

Adobe Media Encoder has encountered an error. [..\..\Src\ExporterParam. cpp-509]

We try to render 400+ AEP. I've got a watch folder set up to export AE projects with next settings: H.264 (1280x720, FPS 25, VBR 2 pass, 1.5 target 2 max; AAC 48000Hz, 320 kbps). The error appeared within the first 30 projects:

Adobe Media Encoder has encountered an error.  [..\..\Src\ExporterParam. cpp-509]

we had 400+ videos going overnight, it might only do so many of them before the error arised. When I clicked to continue render proccess (at that point where it stopped) AME started doing that but without images and video files (it didn't find the path to the project files).

Can anybody help with this, please?

Can somebody help with this issue as it's causing me a heap of problems. On startup, adobe media encoder crashes, it has been working fine for me for the past few weeks. I've updated all software via the creative cloud but I still get the issue.

If this is not a known fault, what should be the next step for diagnosis?

Thanks in advance.

How to render out JUST Alpha in Media Encoder

$

So apparently Adobe has changed their settings in CC 2014 and Adobe After Effects no longer has the H.264 container, and is only offered as a codec for Qucktime. I've been told I have to go into Adobe Media Encoder for the H.264 codec. That's fine, problem is that Adobe Media Encoder does not really have any options for Alpha. From my understanding you have to set it to 32bpc for it to do alpha in a file, which did not seem to work, but that's irrelevant now because that's not what I need. I need to render out two files for a batch list, one with just RGB files and one with just alpha. I talked to someone from Adobe and they suggested I post here. Let me know if you need details.

Thank you very much.
