The After Effects 2014 update has frustrated me endlessly as I had no problem before rendering directly from After Effects to H.264 without creating ridiculously huge file sizes. Now the .mov it creates are huge, but anyway, working around this issue I can either render the huge file size in After Effects and then compress it using Encoder, or load the composition directly into Encoder and render it from there.
Here is where my problem is...
If I choose the first option and wait for the enormous .mov file to be rendered out of After Effects and then compress it to a H.264, I get a final result that looks the way I designed it, but like I said it is a tedious, time-consuming method.
If I choose the second option and open the composition in Encoder i.e. the shortcut method, Encoder seems to completely ignore the opacity values from After Effects! My background images aren't faded and some white background images have come out as black!! I really can't figure out what is causing this. I am rendering out using 'Match Source - High bitrate'. Help please!
