The updated manual gives precious few details about how DCP export through AME actually works. Most notably lacking are any details on how AME requires that sequences be set up in Premiere Pro before export with regards to the frame rate. Does the sequence video and audio need to be pre-conformed to 24.00fps? Or, can sequences at 23.976 frames be exported to DCP from Premiere? And, if AME will do the conform, does it do so by changing the playback speed of the frames (thus speeding up the sequence by a tiny percentage) or does it keep the same frame rate and either apply some sort of pulldown pattern or interpolation to keep the current length while changing the frame rate?
These are huge issues. The vast majority of Adobe users that will attempt to use AME's DCP export are likely under the incorrect impression that their magic DSLR's shoot at 24.00 frames per second rather than the 23.976 that they actually shoot. And, for users abroad shooting at 25 frames, I'm sure they'd really like to know whether they need to preconform their 25.00 material to 24.00 before using the feature.
Anyone with info, please reply.
