Matching export settings to existing sample clip in Adobe Media Encoder

Is there a way to set your export settings for file conversion to an existing video clip's parameters? I'm working with a filmmaker that uses Final Cut 7. We have a lot of footage from Canons. These files are an unrecognized format FC7, so they need to be converted to a quicktime movie anyway. The sequence settings to the project have been set to the file format of his Nikon DSLR. Since there is so much footage, I would like to make all of my files identical to his sequence settings. Final Cut 7 forces you to render any footage dropped into the timeline that doesn't match the existing sequence before you can edit it. This is a problem as most of the work is being done on a slower mac, and the rendering takes way too long.
