My basic problem is when using the same settings, I'm getting much lower quality results in AME with CS6 then I did with CS4.
For example when using CS4 I would export the video with a quicktime wrapper, using H.264 codec, maximum quality, match frame rate, and match the bitrate or original footage. I'm only using Warp Stabilizer then rendering vidoes to as close to the original quality and size as possible (coming from DSLRs). This would give me good results, the stabilized footage looked as good as it did when it came out of the camera, and the file sizes and bit rates were very similar to the original clips.
Now using CS6, I use the same settings in AME and the results are not good. The files are about the same size and the bitrates are the same, but the quality of the footage is much worse. The footage looks like it is has a much lower bitrate, lots of blocking in motion, pixilated, and overall much lower quality.
So I increased the bitrates and the results get better, but are still not as good as original footage and the file sizes are growing. Then I un-tick the limit bitrate box all together, and the quality looks the same as original, but of course the file sizes are huge and the bitrates are 10 times the original.
So what is different about AME CS4 and CS6? What settings will give me rendered files that are as close to my original footage as possible? OR, what settings should I use that will give me manageable file sizes to transfer to my client, but still maintain the maximum quality of the original clip?
Thanks.
