WE SHOULD ALL UNSUBSCRIBE RIGHT NOW. ADOBE DOESN'T SUPPORT THEIR PRODUCTS. THEY WANT US TO.
My story:
1. I take a high data rate 720x486 broadcast file with a 0.9 PAR H.264 .mov and want to transcode it to the same settings with a super low data rate for client review and it wont do it. It scales the video down and give's me letterboxing. EVEN WHEN I CHOOSE SAME AS SOURCE. I have tried tricking it in every way possible and it won't give me the file I am looking for.
2. I go to here:
and chose my product (media encoder), told them what i need help with (how to's and troubleshooting), issue related to (troubleshoot), try these first dont apply to me, so i then click "still need help, contact us". It then gives me contact options (online chat, phone, and forums). I need to talk to someone on the phone so I called them. I WAIT ON HOLD FOR 7 MINUTES TO FIND OUT THEY DON'T HAVE PHONE SUPPORT FOR MEDIA ENCODER. WHY GIVE ME THAT OPTION THEN? THEY TOLD ME TO POST ON THE FORUMS. I THEN PROCEED TO TELL THE PERSON I WAS ON THE PHONE WITH THAT I NEEDED TO TALK TO SOMEONE ON THE PHONE SO THAT IS WHY I CALLED HIM AND HE SAID HE'D TRANSFER ME TO THE VIDEO GUYS IN PREMIERE-LAND AND I RE-EXPLAIN TO THEM MY ISSUE AND THEY FLAT OUT HUNG UP ON ME. MY COMPANY SPENDS THOUSANDS A YEAR WITH THEM AND THIS IS HOW WE GET TREATED.

ALSO,
3. AME forces you to do uncompressed audio on .mov containers. What happened to my h.264 .mov's with AAC audio? I don't want to send clients LPCM audio on a super low data rate video. Video @ 1,500 kbps and audio @ 1,536 kbps. That is dumb.
