I'm using a Canon HFS 100 which records 60i default. Preparing / editing with PPRO CC, for YouTube, I've been routinely transcoding (Prelude) h.264 or MPEG to 29.97 1080P thinking it was the fastest easiest procedure, but now I've seen where I may be sacrificing sharpness / definition by doing so.
I was assuming all fields were processed into progressive. Is this not the case? If not, what's best?
It's hard to imagine that interlaced even has a place these days.
Objective: sharp video for YouTube and computer playback.
Thanks
Greg
