Wondering why this is the case: When I render the same sequence to a Quicktime my CPU usage will run 75 to 95% and render rips through in almost faster than real time (love it!) But when I render same sequence, same clips and effects and outputting as an MXF file it plods along. And as it works on some RED footage it nearly stops. If it's normal SOP, OK. Just want to make sure it's not operator error.
