As the title says, when I launch Adobe Media Encoder, it locks up the SystemUIServer process and also fails to actually launch Adobe Media Encoder (just says Application Not Responding when I right-click it in the dock). After this happens I can't open new applications and I have to force the computer to shut down by holding the power button.
Steps I've taken include:
- Completely uninstalling every Adobe CC 2014 application on the system
- Running the CC Cleaner Tool
- Reinstalling Adobe Media Encoder
- Restarting the computer (numerous times)
- Verifying permissions are correct for the Adobe Preferences folders
- Deleting the Adobe preference files
- Resetting PRAM
- Disabling App Nap (globally)
- Repairing disk permissions (booting from recovery disk)
Not necessarily in that order. The computer this is happening on is an almost brand new Mac Pro with 10.10.3 (latest version).
If anyone has a solution short of reinstalling the entire OS, I'd be happy to hear it. Troubleshooting tips are also welcome.
