Problem importing footage from Sony Z1E into AME and PP CS6

Hi all,

For some reason, when I try and import footage from HDV Sony into Premiere and AME CS6, I keep getting this error:

It's very annoying, as I imported this on another Mac into PP CC, where it works fine, onto a Lacie Thunderbolt Rugged, then onto my work Mac. 

I can also load the footage into PP CS5. Why oh why is this happening?

Surely CS6 can see this old MPEG format?

The only solution I can see is to open in PP CS5, export from there, and then reopen (hopefully) in CS6. As these are 25 - 45 min video files though, this will take FOREVER to do.

Any ideas community?
