Watch folders bugged out after an update--I believe 7.1. I could no longer launch AME--I had to hunt down the process to manually nuke my preference file and that let me launch the program. I was unable to re-create my watch folders because as I kept adding them, the system would stall out for an increasingly long time after each folder was added.
I did not have "automatically encode watch folders" checked.
I could only add four folders, as the fifth would hang the program without fail. I left it once for 20 minutes and it did not recover.
I uninstalled *all* Adobe products, used the provided Cleaner script and rebooted. Reintalled Premiere to get AME (this is just so damned backward) and low and behold--now I'm on 7.2 and it STILL doesn't work.
Program is sluggish, and exhibits the same behaviour as in 7.1.
Another (identical) edit suite that was wise enough to not update does not encounter these issues.
