hi! i'm the helpdesk department of production company and we have several encoders that have the same problem, all with different computers (all computers are fairly recent core i7 2nd, 3rd or 4th gen, with 16gb of ram) running Windows 7 Pro latest updates/drivers.
they experience this issue where a queue of files to be encoded overnight, randomly stops (pauses) at some point and has to be resumed in the morning when they get to work, instead of already being finished or much farther down in the queue.
this seriously hurts production.
i've read online before coming here, and I read that Premiere Pro CC can cause conflicts if its not closed, that its pause is linked to Adobe Media Encoder, so we did the test and I had all the encoders make sure they closed Premiere when they left work, but the same thing happens: AME just pauses at random hours, and it differs from one computer to another. We've eliminated the possibility of it being related to a domain GPO or server issue, since we've also set up a computer with a local account, with all local encoding, and the same thing happens after a while.
is there a known bug about this? is there a settings file that I could delete without needing to wipe the profile folder?
i've tried and contacted chat support twice *shrugs* but they clearly dont understand the situation well, and all they want is to log remotely to the computer instead of offering tips. it is a intermittent problem (meaning it happens at random times) so I don't see how the could do anything remotely... could be hours before the problem happens.
any info greatly appreciated!
