Adobe Media Encoder Fail - need help please

$

I keep getting a failed error when trying to use Adobe Media Encoder.

I open up my premiere project and select the comp I want.  I switch the format to Quicktime, select h.264 from preset.  Hit the start button and I get the failed sound/icon.

2 questions:

1. My comp is 1920x1080 but when I go in it automatically has it as 720... why is it not recognizing the comp size?

2. Is there a way to fix this error?  It seems to export occassionally to my C drive (which is not raid) but it fails to my F drive (Raid 10).  But usually if I export as a wmv or something smaller it exports fine to F.

Media Encoder Debug event - encountered an error

When I try to use system presets under several groups example DNcHD MXF OP1a, AVC INTRA or XDCAM EX, the same error message (Adobe Media Encoder has encountered an error. [..\..\src\Command.cpp-3302] appear. Many other preset work just fine but there are several that not.

My encoder version is 7.0.0.374 so it should be newest.

Can I convert an MOV file to WEBM and OGG file using any of the program in the Adobe Creative Suite?

Hello Everyone,

Is there any program in the Adobe Creative Suite (CS6) that will allow me to convert an MOV file to WEBM and OGG format? If not, can you recommend a free or inexpensive converter that I can download for the Mac, which will help me convert my .mov file.

Thank you in advance!

problem: import image sequence in adobe media encoder

Hi

have a problem with adobe media encoder CS6, in media encoder preferences I change the Display Format to 25 frame timecode, I import a serial of TGA (170 frame) to media encoder as a TGA image file Sequence, this serial generated from 3D Max and ToonBoom applications, the specification of TGA serial 1080 50i "1920X1080 - upper filed - 25 fps", when I import the sequence, media encoder recognize the sequence as 1920X1080 - progressive - 29.97 fps, in interpret Footage options window I change the settings of the sequence to upper filed - 25 fps, and I export it to quicktime mov 1920X1080 - upper filed - 25 fps uncompressed

the problem:

the duration of mov file is 06:20 and that is correct for 170 frame as 25 fps but the mov file not contain all tga serial image, the image freeze at time code 05:16 (frame number 142) and duplicate the frame 142 to the rest of movie file

if I don't change the frame rate in interpret Footage options window for the tga sequence which media encoder recognize it as 29.97 fps, the mov file contain all TGA frames but with duration of 05:16 which not 25 fps

in adobe media encoder CS5.5 I don't get this problem at all

1- how to solve this problem ??

2- how to force adobe media encoder CS6 to recognize the imported image sequence as 25 fps frame rate ??

Windows 7 Ultimate SP1, Adobe Creative Suite Master Collection CS6

thanks

How can I render out an mp4 / H.264 with an alpha channel? I want to make an animated overlay for my twitch broadcasts and hopefully for other people but I can't even get it to be transparent.

WMV export

I was wondering if there is a way to use Media Encoder to export files in WMV format using a Mac. It says here "Windows Media (WMV; Windows only)". Is there any possiblity to integrate a Mac - WMV converter like Flip4Mac into the Adobe Media Encoder.

I know that I can use Flip4Mac to export WMVs from QT Pro. But It would be nice to have one program where I can save all of my export presets for.

Hi I'm having a rather big problem with Media Encoder cc when I send it my video/audio to get rendered it always with out fail with either cut off the audio after a random time or it will mess up the audio so bad it just hurts my ears to play back.. but when rendering that same video/audio out in Premiere Pro cc everything always works just fine. oh and rendering a video with Media Encoder cc takes around 10 to 15mins longer per video to render why is that and how can I possibly fix it all? and I render my game play videos in H.264 1080p 60fps and yes this happens with all the video and audio I send to Media Encoder cc..

After Effects stopped working

I have a corporate license to Adobe software. I am using Premiere Pro CC 2015 and After Effects CC 2015.  Today, I was having an issue using an MP2 file with Premiere Pro.  So I saw something and ran "Updates" hoping it would solve the issue.  I don't know what it did but it broke After Effects.  When trying to export a lower thirds project, I got the following error: “AEGP Plugin AEDynamicLinkServer: Adobe Media Encoder is not installed. Please download and install it to use this feature. Go to https://creative.adobe.com/apps."   which is then followed by AEGP Plugin AEDynamicLinkServer: Failed to connect to Adobe Media Encoder.”  I uninstalled After Effects and Premiere Pro and re-installed them both.  I still get the same error.  I assumed Adobe Media Encoder was installed but when I go look in the same folder where the other Adobe software is (Programs), it's not there.

How does Adobe Media Encoder get installed (part of PP or AE)? I also found a URL where I could download an AE "update" - ran that and I get an error saying the "patch is not applicable to you".  I think somehow through this process Adobe Media Encoder was uninstalled and not re-installed with either PP or AE.

how max cpu for AME?

so it makes some sense that AME would not max out my cpu if its supposed to render in the background- but is there a way that I can tell AME to use all available resources on a render?  currently when i send files from premiere to AME to render it is only utilizing 20-50% of cpu, how can I increase that to 100% ?  For comparrison, if i render directly in Premiere i get the same 20-50% but in AE if i render a comp - it will utilize 60-85% of cpu, and other programs like xilisoft video converter if i convert 1 video it will utilize 60-70% of cpu.  Things i have tried without success: 1. rendering project which is on one SSD to an alternate SSD 2. shutting down all other adobe programs when AME is rendering.

Profile and Level? Please help explain

$

When exporting footage I generally use AME, and I periodically get error messages that talk about increasing the Profile and Level, but I have no idea what those mean or do. I mean, I read the help guide (http://helpx.adobe.com/media-encoder/using/export-settings-reference.html#video_exports_se ttings), but the explanations for Profile and Level are one-liners that explain all of diddly squat. So with what little cryptic info I've found on the interwebses, I've basically blindly adjusted settings til I've gotten something close to what I want or need. I'd MUCH rather like to understand what they are and how they affect my output so I can actively problem solve on my own. Sooo.....

1a.) What are Profile and Level and what do they do?

1b.) What do the different numerical representations of Level mean/do? The range of choices (1.0, 1.1, 1.2, 1.3, 2.0, 2.1, 2.2, 3.0, 3.1, 3.2, 4.0, 4.1, 4.2, 5.0, 5.1) appears random to my uneducated brain, which likely means there is actually a very good explanation and precise specifications for each one.

2a.) What are some real world applications of given settings? What's common/widely accepted and used?

Thanks!

Struggling to get AME working, only needed to render an after effects project

Okay, so i have tried several things trying to get my media encoder to work. Things such as firewall, dynamic link failed related topics and also re-downloading the whole package again. i had spent a whole day trying solely to fix one thing and all i needed was to render an after effects project i had however the trial has ended for that software. Can anyone be so kind and render the project for me into a movie file like mp4 or avi?1080p? it's literally the only thing i needed AME for and i can't get it to work no matter what solutions people have suggested so far, nothing had been working.

TinyUpload.com - best file hosting solution, with no limits, totaly free

just click on the file name on the free upload site to download my after effects project. all i ask is someone help me out and render the file then get in touch with me or post a download link down below of the finished render file.

After doing a recent update I am now getting this error pop up.  I have already tried to reinstall QuicktimePro and I still get this error.  Any thoughts on what may be causing this problem and how I can resolve it?

Thanks

Media Encoder fails after upgrade

After the most recent media encoder upgrade, about a week and a half ago - anything I queue to the encoder will fail.

The same encode settings work fine straight from Premier Pro.

I'd like to use the queuing facility and not have to code smaller parts one by one.

Upgrade/Fix please?

Media Encoder Won't Fully Quit

When I quit Media Encoder, it will close, but then it still shows up when I command+tab to switch applications. And when I go to force quit, it shows up there as well, but will never actually quit when I force quit it.

When I try to reopen Media Encoder by launching the app itself, it doesn't do anything. Then if I "queue" an export from Premiere, it will open Media Encoder but now when I command+tab, Media Encoder shows up twice.

Then if I try to quit again it will just keep doing the same thing. Then when I try to restart/shut down it will begin the process but always locks up and I have to manually force the computer to turn off by holding the power button

until it turns off.

I'm having this issue on my iMac and my MacBookPro. The iMac has been doing this for a month or two. I thought it would've been fixed in an update but my OS (I'm on Yosemite) is up to date, as well as all my Adobe apps.

My MacBookPro has just started doing this in the past couple of days.

How to change render resolution of After Effects project in Adobe Media Encoder for an H264 preview?

$

I'd like to render a 1080i comp at half resolution or third resolution in AME to speed up render times for low-res previews. I just had a low-res H264 preview take 5 minutes to encode in AE, and 28 minutes in AME.

This is easily accomplished in the After Effects render settings. However, the "video" option in AME seems to imply the project is encoded at that resolution, not rendered at it.

I went into AE and changed the setting in the composition viewport to "half", but when I queue it up in AME, the "Match Source" button still indicates 1080.

What is the correct method to get the results I want?

I'm currently using AE CC and AME CC on Windows.

XDCAM EX no longer encoding in Media Encoder CC 2015 after upgrading to Windows 10

$

I just upgraded to Windows 10, and Adobe Media Encoder CC 2015 no longer recognizes XDCAM EX mxf files.  Before I upgraded my OS, AME was happy to take these clips and work with them.  Now, even when I try to import clips that AME transcoded fine a week ago, it says "The file [filepath] could not be imported.  The source file appears to be corrupted.  Please check that it is a valid file."  I doubt very much that the file is corrupt, since my media players play the mxf files just fine.

I am also getting the 0xc0000142 After Effects crash - I saw in the After Effects thread that a patch is being worked on right now - could the two issues be related?

Thank you.

AME CS5.5 hangs on "Reading XMP"

$

Been having this issue ever since I upgraded to 5.5...

Finish a video in Premiere, export to AME, click the play/start encode. In the encode status, it gets to "Processing: Reading XMP" and simply hangs there indefinitely (hours). Clicking to stop/pause the encode doesn't actually stop it, only way to do anything is to force-quit AME. Then it won't re-open until a restart. Only way I can export my final video from Premiere is the direct export, which works well enough when it's a single video basis, but when I want to do a batch of exports, or continue editing something else while exporting, this completely puts me at a stand-still.

Any idea what's with AME just stalling out on me here?

I just recently installed Creative Cloud 2014 on my machine (Macbook Pro running OS X 10.10.1) and when I go to encode an After Effect CC 2014 file in Media Encoder this message appears.

error.jpg

I've uninstalled and reinstalled both applications and this message still returns. Anybody else have this issue or any suggestions how to fix?
