Adobe Media Encoder CC won't open

I'm using a 2014 iMac running OS X 10.9.5.

Every time I try and open Adobe Media Encoder it starts loading and before it open I get an error message: Adobe Media Encoder has encountered an unexpected error and cannot continue.

I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling a couple of times but with no luck. This is the first time using the program so it has never opened successfully before.

Can anyone help?
