My mac lab runs Adobe CC. Recently I ran RemoteUpdateManager through ARD to update CC on these macs. Now users are getting the warning:
User profiles are wiped upon logout, so this error pops up any time a subsequent user edits AVCHD footage or exports audio as Dolby Digital. Is there a dolby digital codec I can download/install? Or, am I stuck having to create a new user template for each workstation...

I have the following error since CS6 when exporting some videos: Export Error. Error compiling movie. Disk Full.
All my drives have plenty of space, NTFS 7200rpm, everything was fine with CS5.5. Same problem with Encoder or Premiere Pro.
Much of the stuff I export is going fine but I have this error with some sequences and formats.
It always crash to this error when exporting sequences with "Match Sequence Settings".
For one of my projects, when exporting to wmv, out of 6 sequences one always crash to Export Error. Error compiling movie. Disk Full.
If I encode those sequences to mpeg2, everything is fine.
I installed the new update this morning but it doesn't help.
I'm new to using AME. I'm trying to convert WMV file to FLV. I have 5 files that were all recorded with GoTo Meeting by the same person on the same day. The files were saved to a shared drive. Now when I try to add them to AME to convert them, only two files worked. I received the following error message for the other three:
What can I do to fix this?
Thank you in advance for your help.

Hi CC,
I installed updates to various apps in my creative cloud this morning. Media Encoder CC refuses to open. I have uninstalled and re-installed 3 times according to instructions in the forums. Adobe Encoder has encountered an unexpected error and cannot continue.
Can you tell me if there are problems with this installer? I have to explain this to my employer.
Thanks - Pete
High Sierra 10.13.4
I use the search thing in the Start menu to open Adobe Media Encoder, but nothing happens. The splash screen doesn't appear, or anything. I tried exporting my After Effects file to MP4 by adding it to Media Encoder Queue, but nothing appears. I even searched for the application launcher in the Program Files Adobe folder. That didn't work.
I tried uninstalling and installing the latest version, which is 12.0. That didn't work.
I tried running as administrator. That didn't work.
I tried running it in Compatibility Mode for Windows 8 and 7. That didn't work.
I tried creating a Presets folder in Documents>Adobe>Adobe Media Encoder>12.0. That didn't work.
I'm at the end of my rope here. I'm just trying to export my After Effects composition, but nothing's working. I'm currently trying to use Dynamic Link with Premiere Pro, but it shows nothing. I know it takes time to render, but my whole composition looks black in Premiere Pro. Does anyone know of a way to help me get Media Encoder working, or a workaround to this issue?
Greetings,
Why is it, no matter what settings I choose, If I render a video file, the output is ALWAYS a larger file size than the source file? Even if minimally touched.
Heck even if I trim it to make it shorter, it's still larger.
Here is the AME settings to a project where all I did was put a white box over 4 sec of text. And the final file is almost twice as big and of much crappier quality at these settings
I've been making videos and exporting them perfectly and uploading them to youtube. However, yesterday I go to export this video and I get this message. No idea what to do. Thought Premier pro and media encoder would need updating so I've updated them both to the most recent one, yet it still says it's not installed. Please help, I need to upload videos.
I have been rendering .mp4 files using media encoder for years, literally. This is the first time I've had any issues. It just started giving me this error last week after I'd made some revisions to this file and tried re-rendering it. Now it won't render any files at all. I get the same error every time. I've got deadlines to meet and I can't deal with this time consuming issue. I've been all through the forums, but every time I think I find the answer, it's for a PC user and not a MAC user and doesn't apply to me. I'd really like to get back to work. Happy to answer any questions on information needed to solve this problem.

I'm using the newest version of AE CC 17 and of AME CC 17. OS X El Capitan
Windows7 64 bit
Media Encoder CC (7.0.1)
AME worked a while. I exported a couple of jobs to it's queue. All good. Tried to cancel the jobs and it seemed to hang. Had to kill the application from task manager.
Since then AME will not run. It crashes on startup. No splash screen.. nothing. Appears briefly in task manager then dissapears.
I have deleted all files from C:\Users\login\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Adobe Media Encoder\7.0
Have reinstalled PremierProCC after uninstalling and using the cleanup tool.
Still no luck. Is there a queue file anywhere that should be deleted? A registry entry maybe?
I'm baffled by this problem and really need to find a solution ASAP. I am using creative cloud, and files fed directly into media encoder are exporting silent audio tracks. Media encoder appears to complete the export, but the resulting files have no sound.
If I export the same clip from premiere pro from the timeline it works just fine and audio is present.
My theory is that media encoder isn't conforming the audio clips it imports. Any thoughts or fixes? Has anyone here had this issue? Thanks!
I'm having the same issue since upgrading to Media Encoder CC 2018 a few days ago. Previously my 10 to 20 second videos were rendering in no time. Now the exact same videos are taking ages to render or not rendering at all.
For me the main issue is that they take 5 minutes to begin rendering, and I frequently get 'Cannot read from source' errors, or Media Encoder just hangs. Prior to updating the software I had no issues.
Software only or GPU Acceleration makes no difference.
MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Mid 2014)
Processor: 2.5 GHz Intel Core i7
Memory: 16 GB 1600 MHz DDR3
Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GT 750M 2048 MB
Intel Iris Pro 1536 MB
Adobe Media Encoder CC 2018
Comps created in After Effects CC 2018, which I updated at the same time.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
When I use Premiere, there is an option to export to HEVC, and at the first time it showed a popup asking install the codec and I clicked yes.
But now I can only find HEVC option in Premiere export menu but cannot find any in Media Encoder.
How to fix this? Thanks.

I am really really getting frustrated by the Adobe CC bugs.
I've just formatted and reinstalled everything (Adobe CC2015.3) on my new PC:
- Windows 10
- intel I7-6900K
- 128GB RAM DDR4
- OS on a 512GB M.2
- Project Files on two RAID 0 SSD.
Now, when i send my sequences to AME and start the queue, AME gets stuck on "reading XMP" for like one hour. After that it moves on and renders, but once the sequence is finished it restarts to read XMP again...
You do understand that i need to export 70 sequences (which take 5 mins each) and i cannot wait 100 hours for that just for AME to read XMP!!!
I also tried the following in AME: edit->preferences->Metadata-> set all the fields to none (no metadata export)
But that didn't work.
I've read ALL the threads about this without finding any solution.
Please help me, i'm going to face a huge delay which will make our customers quite angry...
Thank you
Export times have quadrupled.
I have tested on 3 different iMacs, all with slow render times compared to 2018 Media Encoder.
macOS Sierra Version 10.12.6
iMac (27-inch, Late 2013)
3.5 GHz Intel Core i7
24 GB 1600 MHz DDR3
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 780M 4096 MB
I have downloaded the free versions of both of these codecs in the hopes of being able to transcode to each as an intermediate codec for my AVCHD files. The problem is that neither shows up in either my Premiere Pro CS6 or Adobe Media Encoder Import/Export options? What gives? Did I miss something here? How do I get the option to transcode or encode to DnxHD or Cineform on a PC version of CS6?
I'm running After Effects CC 2015. When I try to send my composition over to AME I get the following screen.
I click ok and then get this...
Everything was working fine before I did a clean install of windows 10, I ran into a virus that wouldnt go away so I backed up everything and reinstalled all clean software. I ran the adobe cloud cleaner tool and still the programs will not communicate with AME. My firewall is allowing all programs and they are updated to the latest patch per the adobe cloud program.
After effects CC 2015 v13.7.1.6
Adobe media encoder 2018 v12.0
adobe media encoder v2017.1.2
Both AME programs get the error when trying to add the composition through AME directly or through the individual program like Ae or Pr.
If I try to add a composition from AME I get the following popup on both AME versions I listed above...
I am running Windows 10 Pro, and the adobe products are installed into the default location (c:/programs/adobe...)
Thank you for any help...
